Xishuangbanna Wildbird Society (XWS) which depends on the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve is a legally registered society which cares for birds and their habitats in the largest rainforest in mainland China.

XWS aims at spreading the idea of wild bird conservation through promoting birdwatching in rainforest. It also promote ecotourism which really stresses on the rainforest, birds and other wildlife. Hope that XWS can cooperate with other birdwatching societies and birdwatchers to conserve the birds in this largest primary rainforest.

XWS hopes to:

1. Join the Love Bird Week to promote birdwatching in the rainforest;
2. Help different schools in Xishuangbanna to set up birdwatching groups;
3. Help and encourage Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve to build some infrastructures for birdwatching and environmental education;
4. Produce leaflets for birdwatching in Xishuangbanna;
5. Cooperate with other local groups to promote birdwatching;
6. Conduct surveys of some rare birds
